Per-tenant locale defaults and per-portal overrides.

Default locale​

Pick the tenant default — the locale every user starts with unless they override it on their profile, and the locale used for system-generated content where no per-user context applies.

Supported defaults:

  • en-CA (English, Canada)
  • fr-CA (French, Canada)
  • en-US (English, United States)

Per-portal overrides​

Each public-facing portal can override the tenant default:

  • Client portal — shown to client account users
  • Candidate portal — shown to job applicants

Each can either inherit the tenant default or be set explicitly.

What "locale" controls​

  • UI language — labels, buttons, system messages
  • Date and number formatting — Canadian English uses metric / 24-hour by default
  • Default outbound email language — for system notifications without a per-user preference
